I don't know what Costco laptop you're considering, but you should know that this Intel i5 is the older 7th gen. dual-core processor and not the newer, substantially faster 8th gen. quad-core which is in a lot of other laptop deals in the $450-600 range. Additionally, the display resolution here is subpar; it is reasonable to expect laptops in this price range to be 1080p nowadays.
