The day I don't buy an xbox 360 for free after the rebate is the day I've realized I have too much junk in the house.
The E model uses 120w and the Slim uses 135w. The AV connector is useless and S/PDIF. Every modern TV has HDMI. Losing a USB port is a negative. But I'll tell you another positive. They got rid of those stupid touch buttons on the E model. I HATED the touch buttons on the S model. I would constantly accidentally hit the "open tray" button or accidentally hit the power button. It was a stupid idea, that's why Microsoft got rid of it in the E model. Since the system would just sit in my entertainment center I'll never be picking it up to feel its build quality. I could care less if it cheap plastic. Power consumption and the removal of the touch buttons is the biggest improvement they could ever make.
Just a heads up, when you do a 360 and walk away you are actually walking towards the xbox, so you you might want to do a 180.

Cool! I could use another Xbox 360 since it is compatible with HDHomeRun. I can my 1080p Cable channels to another TV without having to pay Comcast that ridiculous fee each month (What is it like $10 to $15 a month for HD? I forget because I haven't paid it in like 7+ years!)
The E is the newest model. I better grab that before it sells out first!

I have a Slim and an E model. E is a budget model, just like the PS3 super slim. It feels really cheap and very plasticky. Also a bunch of ports are removed (no AV connector, no S/PDIF, and 1 fewer USB port). There's no improvement in cooling or noise reduction compared to the Slim model.

The earlier S models consumed more power. Apparently the E model's fan does not run at all while using multimedia apps, whereas the S model's fan does, which leads me to believe the E has better cooling and noise reduction since the fan doesn't run as much. The E models will be newer as well, and probably used less.
Anyone having issues locating the order from order history or order lookup? Paid via PayPal shows pending with no confirmation email and credit card doesn't show pending transaction, placed a new order with credit card yet no confirmation email and no credit card transaction. Something wrong? Thanks.
