    I know this issue has been brought up before with this same product but it says "designed for one time use". Those worried about practicing using it had a problem with that.

    You want it to come out of the box, at least to run through a test if you have kids. Things like window sills or decorative features on houses could cause issues as well with ladders. Worth the extra couple bucks for the First Alert IMO.
