iPhone - AT&T Latest Loyalty Deal

Yesterday I was able to get an iPhone 8 Plus 64GB for $250 plus tax with a new 2 year contract. I paid for the phone upfront and there was no change to my unlimited data plan. The other option they gave me, since I was only interested in the 8 Plus or the XR, was the XR at $279 plus tax.

8 Plus normal price is $699, so quite a discount.

Apologies if this is a repost, I've only posted a few deals in my 10+ years on Slick Deals.

Steps:
I called 1-800-288-2020 and confirmed I was talking to the loyalty department. After some pushing and prodding and telling them that someone on chat support offered me the 8 Plus for $249, they were able to find the deal. Don't let them tell you it doesn't exist.

PS: dependong on where you live, shipping may be insanely fast. No joke, some dude from a delivery service delivered my phone within 30 minutes of ordering it. I'm in Silicon Valley, yes.

This is an ongoing promotion and has been around at least a year.

A note about ATT plans, access fees are related to the plan, not this promotion. If you signed up for your current plan under an old 2-year agreement, the plan at that time likely had an access fee charge (for example, $15 access off-contract, $40 on-contract). That language will still apply to this loyalty promotion, so read your plan details carefully. Current unlimited plans have flat $20 access fees per line and that won't change with this offer.

ETF seems to be $325 - $10/month = 33 months to pay it off at that rate. (of course you can pay it off sooner).

You have to ask for the loyalty dept, it took me 2 calls to get it. There's a ton of threads on this, it's a $450 discount off of the retail price, and ask for them to waive your activation fees.

I'm on hold now. My wife really needs a new phone. Her 6s is giving her problems. But I really don't want to pay full price for it with that stupid Next plan. That was the worst thing AT&T ever did. I haven't upgraded my phones since they got rid of the 2 year commitment pricing.... I refuse to do Next.

Wonder if they would do similar for moving from Verizon to ATT. Got similar deal moving from ATT to Verizone 2 years ago on the 7's. Got 4 for around 200 each over the course of 2 years of bill credits. Just finished that off and now looking for new phone deal.

Any options for customers without Unlimited Data? My friend is on ATT and she has a plan with like 15gb of data and refuses to go to Unlimited.

Exact same boat I'm in. We have a hefty FAN discount on ours, and Unlimited plans don't qualify for FAN discounts, so I don't want to switch.

Thanks for posting! I got through and was told the same offer but my monthly bill was going to increase by $25/month because of the phone discount so not sure it's worth it (current phone I'm using is paid off). I have a 15gb plan.

Sucks for those of us not on unlimited plan. I refuse to upgrade my current 20GB 8 line plan since we barely use 10GB per month data. Att already charges ridiculous $8-9 in taxes/fees per line each month. Will probably switch carriers once my BOGo credits end next year.
