Horrible advice, most people won't notice the difference between M.2 and SATA III when both are SSDs, but the 7200rpm drive will seem like a dog in comparison to a quality SSD on either interface.
Generally speaking, the slowest part of a computer is the disk I/O. So increasing that speed makes everything else seem faster, but you hit a point of diminishing returns with the M.2 interface.
