These are "bulk packaged" items, probably intended for warranty replacements. They do not include the 6' long power cable, only the flip up plug. 1 year 3rd party warranty included.

Other MacBook power supplies are available for similar prices, including MagSafe 1.

They claim to be genuine, but I have read they sell fakes. Disappointing, because I have bought other parts from them in the past.

You can do a quick test to see if you get a fake. When you connect the MagSafe to the MacBook, there should be about a second delay before the light comes on. If it lights green or orange immediately, you have a fake. If it passes that test, you can also look at the power adapter properties. All the fields should be populated (serial number, ID, etc). If any field is blank, or zeros = FAKE.

DO NOT USE A FAKE. They are much cheaper, but far inferior. The internals are completely different from the genuine item. They can damage your MacBook & battery. The OEM chargers are over priced, and poorly designed (1 star at the Apple store). I don't know of any reliable alternative.

Please post if you get a genuine one here.

OWC has been around for many years. I hope they would not tarnish their good rep by selling fakes. But a quick search shows this is possible.

Note that these are the square ones that stick out and can fall apart quicker than the later model that has a side connection.

If you do buy one, take it to your Apple Store or authorized dealer and have them take a look. OWC is BBB accredited, by the way.
