Update: This very popular deal is still available.
JBL.com has JBL Flip 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Refurbished) on sale for $49.95 - $10 w/ promo code FLIPNOW = $39.95. Shipping is free. Thanks sikwit
If you double tap the play button I think it will change the track.
Well I'll be damned. All this time. There's no play button, but there's a "phone" button. It changes track by hitting that twice. Thanks. Highly recommend now 😂

I got the Flip 2 model when they did a refurb and the battery was as crap as 90 minutes playing music maxed (which wasn't that loud). Guess if you want to be weird enough to charge constantly in any down moments, maybe it could still work. Otherwise struck me as a waste of money compared to cheap alternatives. (Oontz angle 3 plus or whatever it's called I got for 22 or 23 is my current primary. Had gotten one of those sony bricks three years back as well that is now a backup. Skullcandy Barricade -- being cleared out at maybe 22 at the time -- is similarly better as a backup)
Which I guess put simply means I did make a bunch of smaller purchases over the past 4+ years when a bigger one might have done the trick. Though the technically and value proposition sure has gotten quite better over time, meaning brands previously far inferior to JBL/Bose are suddenly good enough if the majors don't want to give you a good price.
I have this speaker. Sound is very good, and I get decent play time out of it. My only real problem with it is you can't change tracks from the speaker. I have a Soundfreaq that can but isn't water resistant. I paid 30 for mine from a previous deal earlier this year at Fry's. If the track switching thing doesn't bother you, this will be a decent speaker for you.

I have purchased 2 of these in the past. Seemed like brand new. No problems.

Also have two refurbished from JBL. No quality issues, thought they were new aside from packaging.
