This is definitely a good sale, so I thumbed up, but I find their small reels very heavy for freshwater fishing, and I'd want a better drag for big fish on the bigger reels. It's an excellent deal if you like the reel, but I think most would be happier with an Okuma Avenger if a buyer is willing to have a graphite body and oiled felt drag (I like both of these fine).

The combos aren't bad either. $35 for the Pursuit II 6000 8' combo. I think I paid that just for the reel on Amazon back in '17! It's a decent reel - should be good for striper fishing too. With heavier weight and fish it might be a little tough to crank and not as smooth. I use it for crab snaring and it's OK - Spinfisher V is better in that respect.

Thanks, man. Repped. Now that is a deal. I ordered two of those setups just for the rods. They should be great for chunking weight and bait with my baitfeeder reels. If anyone is in the San Antonio area, I'll sell the 6000 reels to you brand new for $20 a piece. Smilie

The Spinfisher V 4500/Medium Combo was on sale for $84.50 a couple weeks ago at Walmart and Amazon. I picked one up, but the deal was dead within minutes after I ordered.
