Amazon [amazon.com] has the Crucial P1 500GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for $74.99.

Fast, well-reviewed drive from one of the most reliable names in memory. This is the first time (that I've been able to find) that this has been sold for less than full retail ($90). Everybody else still has it at that price. A few weeks ago, the going price was $110. Grab it before they put it back at retail price.

UPDATE: Newegg [newegg.com], B&H NLA [bhphotovideo.com], and Adorama [adorama.com]have all matched this price. Great deal from a variety of retailers, some without tax in most states. Also available for new Google Express accounts for $15 less. Thanks goes to WingsofF (see post 4).

UPDATE 2: B&H has sold out. It may not last long anywhere at these prices.

This should be FP as the first real price cut for nvme m.2 ssds.

Also being matched by Newegg.

Also Adorama matched it

The above is available in Google Express which for new accounts brings it down to $60. Nice!

QLC SSD. Here's a review of the 1TB model from Anandtech [anandtech.com].

15 cents a GB should start turning some heads if you're not going to fill the drive or go crazy on the writes, so home, non-workstation drives should be good.

I've got the 1tb in my macbook pro and it's a decent drive. Read/write in the 1200MB/s but likely bus limited by my laptop.

It was a budget buy, but still much faster than sata and overkill for my laptop

Not great performance (SATA levels) when more than 50% full for this 500GB model, makes it not worth purchasing this Crucial P1.

Perhaps Crucial fixed the firmware by any chance?

a lot of companies seem to be dropping sata m.2 support (example, my dell 5575 says it supports sata m.2 in manual, but it doesn't only nvme will work (pretty mad i bought a sata to install), and my walmart op has two m.2 slots, only one is dual compatible with sata). there are still some slots that have dual support for both nvme and sata m.2, but we are slowly seeing nvme only m.2 slots. so even if these companies release nvme drives that are only as fast as sata drives, it is at least more future proof if you intend to move these drives to another laptop or motherboard down the road.
its all about price. right now the hp 920 is the deal, but they have that defective temp monitor. other than that the crucial is the best bang for your buck nvme, and it reviews says it performs better than the intel 660p.
