Was looking around Gamestops website and saw they dropped the price of the OG (fat) Xbox 360. Did a search and didn't see anything, correct me if I'm wrong. Some are YMMV as far as specific console. Call me a GS fanboy but never had issues with refurb stuff. They seem to have some of the older limited edition consoles, saw the MW2 and Halo 2 one's for $30 as well.

Edit: They have slim models of the 360 for $10 more which has built in wifi and quieter. Better deal unless you're pinching pennies.

Just a note about that video, he's being paranoid when he says it's "too far gone". You should definitely replace the bad heatsink screw job, but if it's still working at the time there's no reason to think a reballing job would not last.

This was a really cool idea until Microsoft started the backwards compatibility program. I have two old custom firmware ps3's because Sony is just letting backwards compatibility fall to the wayside. Was really gung ho to mod an Xbox 360 but just not really worth it when you can play old games that are enhanced to look better for a fairly decent price (with gold subscription that can be obtained free from doing Microsoft rewards). Microsoft offers some great things because they can't compete with Sony's exclusives. Not yet anyway. Also all xbox one's are now freesync compatible (even the original which initially wasn't going to get it).

Tempted only because I long for the time I could just put a disc in and play. Just got Xbox one X and didn't realize I had to download entire games on the hard drive to play.
