I chatted with Sony, and they said you can use it for Vue. You still need to have a card on file, but funds will come from gift cards first.

Yes you can use these for Vue. I pretty much only pay for Vue subscription with discounted gift cards. That said there is a limit on how many gift cards you can add to your Playstation wallet. Used to be $150 limit. Not sure if its been raised. But either be advised that its best to purchase about no more than $150 gift card credit at a time.. or if you do purchase more.. make sure to use existing credit first before trying to add more to your Playstation Wallet balance.
