Don't want to threadcrap - the price is good compared to normal price but... I bought this game last time it was this price and wish I had my money back. I mean, I went in with low expectations and was still disappointed.
It's my own fault really, I don't know what I realistically thought the quality would be but... (and to be fair, I haven't played beyond the first week's episode, so maybe things got better or patched or something between week 2 and today's week 3 but wow) I really enjoy The Grand Tour show, but will just stick to watching the show from now on.
Half the mechanics of the game seem to simply involve holding down the stick or a button or both until the timer runs out - even though you hit the score they wanted you to have 20 seconds earlier. The times it does let you drive on a course, I soon regret it - the racing is pretty simplistic and just doesn't feel good. I wasn't expecting Project Cars but.. it just didn't feel right or really fun.
Fast forwarding through the show parts (because I already watched the episode) gets tiresome. Maybe somebody will like it, but I certainly didn't. Again, I don't want to threadcrap, the price is like half off but I wish I had read the comment I just wrote before I purchased it a couple weeks ago. I'll stick to watching the actual Episode and then just flipping over to Forza Horizon 4 for zany antics after.
Season 3 is atrocious. Unwatchable. I'm thoroughly convinced that Amazon is printing fake reviews to drown out all the negative ones because it is BAD.
I feel bad for James and Richard (mostly James) because they still seem to care. Idk what happened to clarkson but he isn't funny anymore. His humor is no longer clever it's crude and boorish. I think removing the BBC nanny-state really opened him up to childish dirty humor that isn't even funny.
So far in Season 3 the only thing I've laughed at was Hammond spinning around in the hide on the back of his truck. Not going to bother watching the rest of season 3.
