Retail Flyer 2909 Parking Lot Sale August 24, 25, 26

Guess i'll wait till aug 25 to get the 3ton jack stands worship

Also tempted to get that 3ton jack for $80 but 74lbs might be too much for me to haul. Will also pickup that 9pc wobble socket extenders...do prices actually get cheaper on sunday like the ad says?

A few years ago I treated myself to a 3M heavy duty duck tape at lowes, I think I had some kind of Q - I will never use anything else, this stuff is amazingly good. The problem is I am almost out and it's crazy expensive now. Wish I had a time machine.

I've heard scotch super 88 electrical tape (another 3M product) is also the best you can get, but expensive too.
I typically get my electrical tape at Home Depot. Mainly 'cuze it comes in different colors. When working with #4 wire from Home Depot you have your choice of any color you want as long as your choice is black so blue, red, white and green tape is always handy. I've had it last 5 years so far and still going strong. I've even reused some of it and re-sticking it holds just like the first time. I never paid attention, perhaps it's 3M.

Just thought of another item. That 1/2" and 3/4" plumber's brush (#45339) that does both the inside and out of copper pipe. On sale right now for $1.79. I've seen it for $1 during their dollar days sales. I've seen it elsewhere for as much as $15.

Only for clearance items, and those prices are up to X percent. The prices are predetermined by corporate. I think stores know what price all of the clearance items will be the week before the sale, so you can ask someone to check. Not everyone I've talked to at my store knows how to do that, though but it's worth a try.

I noticed a lot of the 18v tools in the white boxes are on clearance. If there's any of the drills that include the battery and charger left during the sale I'd pick one up just to get an extra battery & charger. HFT doesn't always carry batteries & chargers for discontinued cordless tools.

Speaking of clearance, I didn't this posted: the old 2200 watt blue generator is on clearance for maybe $230? The SM at my store said there's not going to be an equivalent model in the new Predator line. It's no longer on the website so I'm not sure of the part number, sorry guys.

My store was handing out flyers for a new dollar sale that starts on Monday, maybe it'll be in there. I know at the last sidewalk sale there were a bunch of those brushes in a box labeled $1 outside but they weren't in the ad.

Has anyone posted the aluminum+steel jack coupon lineup yet?

It's from the same person who did the cabinet/tray sheet, they must get special trade magazines as I've never seen anything like these.

What, are you riding a bicycle? Have them put it in the trunk and pick up a 2x8 at Home Depot to use as a ramp to slide it out.

The good stuff usually goes Friday morning or by Saturday. I got lucky and one Sunday afternoon there were still a couple of the returned $89 generators at one store. Took one home for $30.

I am not positive you can pull this off, some stores yes but not all, but technically you could buy the stands just after July 26th and then get the price fixed if you go back during the sale.

If they refuse to do it, don't blame me Wink

74 pounds is heavier than 10 gallons of gas - that will kill your mpg carrying it around

I only carry a small bottle jack and a suicide jack in the car for emergencies...

Last year during the end of summer tent sale they put a lot of garden stuff on clearance. That sunday I snagged a bunch of garden hose quick connects for like $3 a set. Contrary to the reviews online they seem to be pretty good. They weren't listed in the online clearance but they were dropping the prices every day anyway.

I also got the "good" dremel-type tool for like $7.

BTW I saw in one of the recent ad fliers that the 18-gauge brad nailer will be discounted to $15 on "sale." With a 20% off $12 is a bargain.

Those wobble extenders were a godsend when I had to change the starter in my dodge diesel. One of the bolts needed a universal but the universal was too big around. The wobble was just enough of an angle I could get a ratchet on it and some room to work. After that it took all of 10 mins to change the starter. Didn't need jack stands, that truck sits high enough already. I drained the radiator by sliding a 5 gal bucket under it!

that expired back in april and the price has probably been raised in the latest round
I found a coupon on this thread. I got the 20T press yesterday and set it up this morning.
I'm going to return my 12T press I bought a little under two weeks ago.

Anyways, this new coupon expires 7/31 so if anyone is interested, I'll repost.

I heard the local HF charges a restocking fee of 20% (fremont, ca) to deal with people returning equipment (using tools like a rental and returning it to HF). I hope I don't get charged a restocking fee.

I can't fault them for doing that as long as it only applies to items that have obviously been used.

I got a 8 gallon compressor at the last parking lot sale that had obviously been used for a short term job and been returned, there was still air in the tank whn I got it home. I got it for 60 bucks and have used it quite a bit since I got it , its lifespan might be reduced due to not being broken in properly and holding air pressure for god knows how long but for half the price of the normal coupon price I can't complain.

Yeah I wouldn't reccomend hauling that around for roadside emergencies, that's more for home / garage use

I don't think the restocking fee applies to those items. Off the top of my head, it's generators, compressors, cement mixers, breaker hammers, pressure washers, tile saws, table saws, airless paint sprayers and a lot of the electrical & diagnostic automotive items. It's charged when the ONLY reason you are returning the item is because you don't want it. If you upgrade to a more powerful item (e.g., swap the 3 gallon pancake compressor for the 6 gallon) the fee will be waved.

Cashiers should be telling everyone about this at check out, it's also printed on regular price and sale tags for items it applies to.

If you do get charged the restocking fee, you might try bringing your receipt for the 20 ton along and say you were unaware of the restocking fee and that you did purchase an "upgraded" item over the 12 ton. They'd probably wave it. I really don't think it applied to those items though.

New super coupons, retail 2812B [harborfreight.com].

Hmmm I remember reading somewhere that the 20% Q doesn't work on parking lot sales, that true?
