Hmmm I remember reading somewhere that the 20% Q doesn't work on parking lot sales, that true?
That is correct it is printed on the coupon

OK so for the HF veterans - is the parking lot sale only stuff thats layed outside or are items inside the store (that are on sale) also part of the 'parking lot' sale? Just tryin to see if I can use the 20% Q on the jack stands during the sale which would make it pretty damn slick.

That I don't know, it wouldn't hurt to try

If it's in the ad flyer it's part of the sale and exempt from the 20% coupon regardless of the placement of the item.

The best metric is anything that has a green tag inside the store. My store sometimes has items outside that are actually part of the monthly sale, just stacked out there to generate additional sales. Even though these items are outside you can of course use a 20% off coupon on them.

I use my smartphone and I'll either read off the code or show it to them, often from an online ad or this forum. The more exotic coupons like the free 3" pneumatic cutoff they're more likely to want to see.
Last week I was in my local HF and tried to use a printed coupon directly from the HF website, and they told me they don't take printouts because they're getting too many counterfeits. I guess I'll start doing the phone thing as well from now on. ..since its impossible to fake those right?Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)Nearly got into an argument with the manager about it, after asking him why they have them on the website with the "click here to print" buttons. He was pretty douchey about it too, like I was part of some counterfeit gang trying to clean them out of free flashlights or something.

FWIW, using coupons off your phone is specifically allowed in the ~official~ HFT coupon policy. If someone has a problem with that tell them to go read their own coupon policy.

I heard the local HF charges a restocking fee of 20% (fremont, ca) to deal with people returning equipment (using tools like a rental and returning it to HF). I hope I don't get charged a restocking fee.

Gary

If my HF did this I would make sure there is still smoke rolling out of said item as I was walking in with it. LMAO

I have noticed colored prices tags in store just didn't realize that meant it was on sale. So green tags = parking lot sale or any sale in general?

Green tags = parking lot sale, always. Any other color is one of the 10 day sales or a monthly sale. If you look closely the tags have end dates for the sale on them.

That's stupid. There doesn't need to be counterfeit coupons, when they have them on their website. I would have been so in his face for calling me a cheat it wouldn't have been funny.

Did you cut them out? I got into the habit of taking the whole sheet with the url printed on it.

Go to twitter and leave a message on their wall about the issue and the store/store number. I've heard that usually takes care of it.

But I wasn't kidding about the attorney general. They have to accept the coupons they put out.

How cheap can I get these vehicle dollies?

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-pi...67511.html

Now, I can get them for $40 with the 20% coupon.

I noticed they went from a 4 bolt pattern for the casters to a 1 bolt pattern. The casters can now fold easily under weight of the vehicle (read the reviews).

I'm thinking of picking these up if I can find the ones that have the 4 bolt casters.

Whenever that happens I usually don't patronize the store anymore. It it THEIR coupon that they put out themselves, they have a barcode and database of every coupon available. Happened to me last year at a local supermarket (Albertsons), they had a promoo where you get $5/25 for email signup and the store wouldn't take the printout - haven't shopped at that store since, not worth the aggravation.

Funny I'm responding to my own post. I just went to HF and got this instead:

http://www.harborfreight.com/move...93888.html

The mini dolly should work to move my cars around. Although the wheels are plastic/rubber.
I'll keep ya posted! Smilie

Heck for $8 after coupon (or $16 for two), I'm willing to try it out instead of spending $40 for the vehicle dollies.
