So, this month's ITC has a coupon for the 7-piece SAE/Metric color-coded sleeved lug nut socket set (items 40035/69781) but guess what: It appears it's not on the website anymore. Confused

Thanks for finding the coupon but it says right on it that the original needs to be present. Judging by your rep points you saw that though and maybe know something I don't? Can that coupon be printed and used anyway? It expires tomorrow. EEK!

Edit: I see it works online. I would have spent more then that on gas. I'd buy ya a beer if I could. Thanks so much.
The use of Q's you print yourself are always a YMMV but my reasoning has been, how the heck are you supposed to use Q's that they email you? Those actually say the same exact thing on them as the print Q's do (original needs to be presented...) I've never had any problems at my local store using ones I printed but some in other areas have. Also, consider that you don't even need to have a printed or cut out Q anymore (they accept them on your phone now). Technically, even at the store, all you really need to do is give the number code from the Q. If it's valid and applies then you're good to go. Glad you were able to get this to work out Michael and I accept the virtual IOU on the beer. Thanks.

Genec, that Q says "AVAILABLE IN STORE ONLY" so that's likely why it isn't showing up online. I know, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.... I guess you give your local store a call and see if they are in stock.

Well, if nothing else, the 20% off Q in the Wiki will bring it down from the current price of $249.99 to $199.99. Or you could get poked in they eye with a sharp stick...

The band saw periodically goes on sale for anywhere between 179 and 199. I got mine when it was 179 and used the 20% off along with it.

A note on the 20% off coupons. Remember the Digital Trio (Digital Savings, Digital Savings from Facebook, Digital ... Twitter) almost always has a 20% off coupon in it along with another freebie. This month it''s the screwdrivers.

Now a note on drills and taps. The HF drill bits and taps aren't of the greatest quality, but as DD said, as long as they're used the right way they should last. One trick I picked up along the way is to buy the HF set, be it the 29 piece or the large set, and as you use it replace any of the ones that got dull or broke with better quality ones from places like Wholesale Tool, Grizzly, etc. Many of the bits in the set you'll never use anyway. As far as taps are concerned, take your time with them. There's a noticeable difference between the cheap ones and the good ones. The cheap ones are kinda springy when you turn them, the good ones are not. I've got an old set of taps and dies and as the often used taps have broken or worn out, I replaced them with better ones. You'd be surprised at how few you actually had to replace!

Thanks for the reply.... That is what I was looking for. Now I'll just hols out until I see it around the $199 (plus my 20% coupon) will be a great buy for me.

and they _typically_ have things on the site, even if you have to search by item number to find it...

Plus, on my physical coupon "Good at our stores or website or by phone" without a mention "Available in store only!" like the e-coupon has. "Swivel head flashlight" 46027/69827 is the same.

All of this makes me think they're about to be closeouts or the like.

I used to see coupons for more expensive free items. They were like a cut off air tool. You had to spend either $35 or $50. Do those still exist?

There was a Q for free set of jumper cables (with $49.99 purchase) which ended the last of September and one good through the end of October for a free set of 3 adjustable wrenches with the same minimum purchase. I haven't seen anything else lately. Maybe someone else has but normally it would be posted in the Wiki if it were known about here.

I've seen mover's dolly and mini Dremel knock off also. All expired. Just have plenty of the tape measures, screwdrivers and multimeters. Don't really need any of the other stuff either. Hoping for something different.

Amen! Me too! I'm hoping to sell some of the regular free stuff at my garage sale this coming summer.
