Anyone got any links to mod/hacks of the Blue light? I'd love to pull some solar panels from some cheap garden lights and turn the blue light into a light for my shed?

I've googled and all I find is a guy who cuts off the LEDs and uses them for another project and a gut who hooked up a 1.5 W solar panel to it but that just turns it on when the sun is out - it didn't charge any batteries.
I'd really like to do something cool with these Blue flash lights that I like.

True - but you have to turn them on and off and maybe use a step ladder to do that every time you go into the shed, way too much work if you use your shed a few times a week.A solar panel - charging the 3 AAA would be the way to go but I don't know how to do that.

The generic kind in flashlights and ones that are cheap aren't like the dimmable ones
they use in home lightbulbs. You have to figure out how much electricity they need.
If you don't use enough batteries they probably won't turn on.. they are either on or off.
Thats what I found when doing some testing.. so i figure if I add a couple flashlights worth of these LEDs to my solar light in the shed I will need to double the number of batteries and that means more charging time.. but its not like I hang out in the shed all the time.
I would like to light the whole house with LEDs fed off a single large solar panel on the roof ... it would mean a lot of wiring though.. probably have to use different circuits and get a large boat battery.
It seems like a lot of effort after all lighting is only a tiny part of your homes electric bill.
However I did see some company on china that sells like a 5 light kit and a panel and they are pull chain .. suppose to be used in really low income rural settings to light the whole home..
I tried to find it but can't .. look for a while on ebay you will find it.
but im with you on that.. i figure if i have half a day this spring im upgrading my solar shed light
