=17pxSometimes you just want the free with purchase item - but don't really need anything. What you need is the cheapest filler item you can find. To date the consistently least expensive item I've found is the "Color Snap Blade Utility Knife" [harborfreight.com]=17px. This is a normal stocked item that retails for 49 cents. However they are often (and by often I mean almost always) on "sale" for 29 cents. It is a crazy deal by itself, but if you pair it with a free with purchase item it makes it amazing. Not only are they cheap but they are useful. By comparison the loose #1 Phillips drill bits are 67 cents on sale - 69 cents retail.
AND YES it's on sale for 0.29 right now.
FWIW the batteries @ HF are complete junk; not worth it to use a FWP coupon to get free batteries. I am a big HF supporter but their batteries are simply crap.

At my closest store they are always right by the cashier. I picked one up a few times when getting a 27LED light a few months ago.
hmm I've always had to have a paper copy (even if a crappy scanned version). When the barcode reader doesn't work, hand-typed numbers do. I've just never tried using an ITC coupon and didn't know if the system "knew better" or if it all relied on the cashier knowing that to use ITC coupons you needed to be an ITC member (and check a card or something)
