You guys need to chill out. The Wiki was so out of date and disorganized that it pretty much was garbage. And it is a WIKI. IT IS FOR PUBLIC EDITING. If you feel there is something helpful you can contribute to the Wiki, then do it.

I can see justification for having at least a 20% off coupon in the wiki. Past that, I don't think there's much point in adding other coupons unless someone wants to be very diligent about keeping it up to date. If you want to include freebee coupons, I would upload ALL of them and be sure to remove them as they expire. I believe in an all or nothing approach if you want to include a particular category of coupons.

there is nothing wrong with change, but why is up to you to make the decision on what changes are to be made? Have the decency to ask for input and/or contact the OP. Yes, its for public editing but have some common courtesy and just ask for opinions/feedback before you make yourself master of edit.

If you look over the Wiki, you will notice that nearly all of the information that was originally there has been maintained, but it is now much more organized and better written. I think you guys are getting your panties in a bunch for deleting the coupons. Honestly, I don't see much point when finding coupons from other sites is vastly superior and comprehensive. But if you guys wanna add coupons, then by all means add some coupons.

Other than that, what's to complain about? Everything that is useful is still there and is now more informative, clear, and easy to read.

I feel everyone replied in a nice civil way until you decided to tell everyone to chill out and yell at us. I had even given you props for your editing as you did do a good job rewording things. The wiki is a communal property and it is not up to one member to dictate what should or should not be in it and you should never delete another member's contributions and the fact is you did in fact do that. Coupons posted just 2 days ago were deleted by you without asking the contributing members how they feel on that and if the rest of the community agree with your assessment. Now that a few members tell you they disagree you yell at us and imply that what we want is useless, that is not a very cooperative stance. Yes there is a great source of HF coupons maintained by a great contributor but some people might not be able to access that site behind a corporate firewall, some may not like going to another site, some might like to point people to the wiki for a coupon if the person does not frequent this thread or know of the other places. Any reason is valid even if you don't agree and that is enough reason that coupons can and should be left in the wiki if they are valid coupons.

I welcome civil discussion of this matter but please refrain from yelling and telling me to "chill out", it is not appropriate.

We'd appreciate you putting back the coupons you deleted. Why should others have to put them back, since they put them there once and you decided to remove them?

We prefer to find the coupons here. Nice to have the other choices/sites, but this is our Coupon and info thread. Thats how its been and thats how it should stay.

Was wondering what happened with the links to the sale pages? That was the most useful thing by far. Some sort of threat by Harbor Freight?
