Is this better than the previous version? That one is often <$600 which was my price preference.

This needs to be sold at Costco/Home Depot/Lowes etc so when this breaks it is covered by real return policy.

Really want a chair in this price range but feel like it could break any moment and be a complete waste of money.

I've had this exact chair for over 2 years now. It's definitely worth the price. It's not to the level of the chairs costing thousands of dollars, but if this is all you can afford it is definitely worth it. I could never get the heating element for the back connected, but it works fine on the feet. I also cannot figure out how to use all the various settings when you open the panel...not sure if they just don't work or I just don't know how they work. But the chair has 3 basic settings, and you can pinpoint certain areas of your back. I think it looks pretty nice, and I have not had any deterioration of the "leather" material whatsoever. I do prefer to flip back the head cushion, as it blocks most of the massage mechanism on the upper back / neck. I am 6'1", and find that I have to lower the leg part otherwise I can't extend my legs all the way. I've been tempted to buy a more expensive chair, as they really are better. Just don't know that I can justify the cost right now.

I have had it for two years also.works great and its used on average of three times a week.. One of the best bang for bucks I've ever bought.. I'm 290 lbs. So it's durable.
