seems to me like lowe's starting to go downhill with the tool box. They use to have the kobalt silver one which was really nice looking and pretty solid. i've seen some of the craftsman in the store and they are crap. sears has the nicer craftsman like the 2000,3000 or gold series i believe and they are nice but the ones at lowes looks like low quality

I'm suspecting it may be some kind of "profit scheme"...where they sell stuff for a bit more than it costs to make and bring to market... 🧐
Anyone know why Lowes' craftsman stuff are already on SD when they just purchased them? I get why we've been seeing an increase in deals for Kobalt products but not understanding seeing craftsman already.
I picked one up. Looks similar to a cheapy one I got from home depot about 5 years ago for only $40 (anyone else get that crazy deal, HD honored it which is wild).
Sears always had them on sale for $99 which is a regular price. You could even get points to make them almost free!
The one from Sears actually have free tools too
Very poor quality.
Doesn't the one always on sale at Sears not have the ball-bearings? Just asking because I bought the one from Sears and it does not have ball-bearings. But it's been a while since I got mine.

The metal is thin, but for those that plan light use, it meets the need. I would not recommend it for heavy use.

Good enough for my light duty work.

The one from sears was also made in the USA and probably better quality. I'm not sure what Lowes is doing, making all Craftsman low quality junk now?
