I can't speak for the other parts but the fact they give you a 500GB SSD off the bat is pretty nice.
Most prebuilt 'deals' have no SSD or a really small one that you basically have to replace right off the bat.
Not a bad deal, complaints are the case is kind of ugly, the RAM could be faster for a Ryzen build (and only 8GB), the mobo looks crappy, and who knows on the PSU. But for $600 if you wanted to build yourself you wouldn't get much further with an activated Windows machine.
Solid deal. Like what's said above. The ram is the only thing that needs some attention. It's recommended that ryzen have 3000mhz ram minimum. 3200 recommended.

Thanks, I do understand that a dedicated graphics card will certainly benefit any typical user. I'm just dumbfounded to find out if I actually need one and I guess only I can decide that. Right now I simply won't consider any PC but doesn't have an SSD but I am always gravitating towards the deals that include a dedicated graphics card and not even just a basic one. I mean embarrassingly I edit my videos using the old old version of Windows Movie Maker and I highly doubt that requires anyting extensive. I think I'm finally realizing then I should put my focus on the processor and the RAM. But thanks again for your reply I don't get a lot.
Integrated graphics have gotten very good. They are up to the performance of mid level or even between mid and high level graphics cards and are quite sufficient if you are not gaming, video transcoding, post processing or photo editing with huge files using programs like Photoshop. A typical user will not notice the relatively small gains from using a graphics card over integrated graphics. Kind of like SATA III vs. NVME SSD. If you don't get a computer with one and decide you want/need one later you can easily put one in your computer. That said, if you want one you should probably get it. It will be cheaper as part of a system unless you find a great sale on one or buy a good used one.

Well, the deal is dead now anyhow so no use arguing about it.

Sure, if you mean a 3 year old game is recent lol. I'm sure it wouldn't be able to play, for example, BF5 at constant 60+ fps even at 1080. Not to mention actual new titles like Anthem (which this system barely meets the "recommended" specs) or Metro Exodus.

Bottom line, if you just want something to play Fortnite/League of Legends/CS:GO, this is more than enough. Want to play the new AAA titles at 60+FPS, I would just look at spending a couple hundred more.
Average FPS with all ULTRA settings for Battfield V:
1080p=85 FPS
1440p=64 FPS
2160p=34 FPS

Average FPS with almost all settings on ULTRA for Anthem:
1080p=72 FPS
1440p=38 FPS
2160p=<30 FPS

Average FPS with all settings on ULTRA for Metro Exodus:
1080p=45 FPS
1440p=33 FPS
2160p=19 FPS

Average FPS with all settings on HIGH for Metro Exodus:
1080p=72 FPS
1440p=49 FPS
2160p=29 FPS

You absolutely CAN play these latest AAA titles with this video card. The only one that would be questionable on Maxed out ULTRA settings would be Metro Exodus, but with HIGH and ULTRA side by side, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference most of the time, anyway.

As I stated earlier, you're clearly not giving this video card the credit it deserves.

So a graphics card contributes nothing to a user that merely streams video and edits them? Not that I don't trust your opinion but can others chime in? Graphics cards are used solely for gamers?
Streaming video will not benefit from high powered graphics cards. Some video editing software WILL benefit, especially during encoding. The benefits are only to a margin of several percent however. In video encoding a faster CPU will usually do far more to lower the encoding time than having a high powered graphics card.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're not a professional editor and generally edit videos casually for home movies or perhaps to upload to Youtube. If you give the specifications of your current system I could offer some advice on any improvements that may help without having to spend several hundred dollars on a completely new system.

Thanks for both of your replies but I'm unaware how to multi quote using the tablet version. In your first comment I surmise it to indicate that the only benefit or the main benefit will be a saving of time which is really of no importance to me because the quantity is not measurable or of any importance in this activity.

Yes you did not go out on a limb as this activity is really for my own collection. I might want to take the commercials out of a TV show that I want to keep or it might be just some sports videos for my dodgers team but I want to create from what I download online. But I'm a perfectionist and often overemphasize as if I'm going to submit the finished product for an academy award lol.

Oh I have no desire to delay replacing my present PC as it is a bit aged but works somewhat acceptably. I'm also in no rush to replace it but I'm always looking for a good deal. Off the top of my head it's a Dell XPS 8700 4th generation i7 with 16GB RAM, 1 GB Nvidia dedicated graphics and your typical 1tb spinning hard drive. It's been getting slower this past year and I think it's time to upgrade but I'm not a mechanic. I have always and will always replace the entire model. As a result I've got 4 PCs in my condo and I use each one at times to varying degrees.

The more I read comments in the forum I think I'm realizing that I really need to focus on the processor and the RAM. Of course any unit that I purchase will definitely include an SSD. No question or ignorance about the importance of that item. It shows you responded 2 days ago but I just received notification today so I apologize if it appears I was slow in responding.

You're realization is wrong. That system is more than capable of doing not only that which you're using it for but much more. If you're experiencing increased lag in processing, it is attributed to 2 things -- the age since the last time you reinstalled the operating system and the platter hard drive. Some people think fragmentation is the only issue with a platter drive but in reality seek times play a large role. As the system fills up, the drive spends more time searching for the content that it needs. Fragmentation is just a problem that exacerbates the slow seek times. Get an SSD, and if possible, reinstall Windows. If you aren't game to reinstall Windows, you can just duplicate your current hard drive to the SSD, plug it in, and experience a boost in performance that you won't achieve even with the fastest processor available.

Oh? I'm not worried about fragmentation as Windows 10 takes care of that automatically now. I'm also not afraid to reinstall Windows as I can't count how many times I've done that on the various PCs I have. The daunting task is opening the case and installing an SSD. I've installed RAM a couple of times; in fact I had to install it on this particular PC because it was preconfigured. I first have to determine the correct type of SSD as I believe it has to be a SATA. I guess truly the first chore is to get over my fear of installing it but I don't think anybody on here HASN'T installed one. So it must be easy. My gosh I've had a home PC since the late 80s and and on that first one it was DOS and the hard drive was an option. LOL I got one that was 20 megabytes!

You don't think a PC should be replaced after 4 or 5 years? I mean the dang thing is on from the moment I get up to the moment I go to bed so I've certainly gotten my use out of it. It shouldn't take 20 seconds to open up something like file explorer after clicking.
