Heard rumors they're coming out with a all digital Xbox one S soon that will not have a 4k disc player in it or any disc player in it for that matter I wonder how much that will be and how much it will affect this model in this deals price.

Are you able to play despite the Xbox model? Or does everyone need to have the exact same one

Nope, the Xbox One model doesn't matter at all. The only change you would see on the Xbox One X is 4K gaming and enhanced graphics (with games that support it) + HDR.

Rumor is $249.

This model is technically $299 MSRP but MS hasn't had them not discounted since october.

No longer a rumor. It's coming out April-ish. It should drive these a little down but not much more than this

As long as they are on Xbox you're good. I recently got one after having PS4 and mostly regret it. I just didn't need it.

Forgive my ignorance but where was this confirmed by Microsoft? I read up on news about this stuff as I have been wanting another Xbox One for a different area of my house and had read the rumors but no official release notes on this thing.
