These are fast 5400 RPM drives, 210 megabytes/second sustained throughput on the white label ones.
Compare to highest capacity 7200 RPM black label WD drive spec of... 227 megabytes/sec.

If you need faster, for most things for speed you should be using SSD. SSDs can get 3500+ megabytes/sec transfer rates. Things like CAD work and photoshop professional work where you are literally losing money rendering 10 seconds slower, are going to need to look at SSDs. Most users with high speed needs instead of spending time looking at spinning drive 7200 RPM for a small percentage increase, should just jump straight to an SSD that's 15 or 20 times faster in transfer rates.

Yes, these are shuckable. Here's a video of how to shuck this drive. [youtube.com] No need to break any tabs or seals, just slide it out.

These will likely contain a Western Digital WD100EMAZ "White Label" drive which is essentially a WD Red drive with a 256MB cache.

You may get lucky and not need to worry about this but if the raw drive doesn't work when you install it into your case/enclosure/etc you may have the 3.3v pin issue. Here's a video of how to deal with this issue if it's present for you. [youtube.com]

Ways to deal with 3.3v pin issue if it happens to you (only need to choose one):
Easiest way: Use a molex to sata adapter. Molex doesn't have 3.3v
Or can put tape over that part (youtube has plenty of vids showing this)
Or can cut 3.3v wire on cable (make sure to cover end with some sorta electrical tape)
Or can see about popping out pin on SATA end, there should be vids on this.
Or, if you have modular power supply, you can use a tool to pop the pin lose of the 3.3v wire on PSU end and pull it out. I did it this way, probably hardest way, but kept everything in my build clean. Figured out which pin at PSU end was 3.3v (that took a while). Then watched videos of how to remove pins, ended up using staples, and it took a while.

10TB White label Helium drive made by HGST with 256MB Cache. 5400RPM, low noise and low heat output. TLER supported. Mine has been running smoothly for 446 days in my NAS.
Like shucking oyster, you open the box and get what's inside.
Easystores are Best Buy exclusives. Elements are the version sold everywhere else. They're the same drives inside.
