I'm fairly new to actually posting here, so apologies if this isn't formatted well, but Groupon is running a promotion through 3/25 where if you sign up for a 6 months subscription to Groupon Select (which gets you 25% local deals, 10% off concerts and travel, and free shipping on all items) you get $20 in Groupon bucks. This is on top of the existing promo where you get your first month for free and $5 in Starbucks money after the first payment. You're essentially breaking even on the cost of membership!
Not sure how long it takes for the Groupon Bucks to apply to your account after signup, I signed up about 20 minutes ago and it hasn't shown up yet, but the discounts are available immediately.
The biggest thing is that it has no cap for high $ purchases, bypass non-participating merchants, and lets you do special sale events.
Otherwise, for non-frequent buyers and small $ purchasers, this is not worth it.
