    Was just looking at the 705 speakers to match with the LSiM704c I picked up from their last sale. Can we expect the prices to go any lower? I was hoping to snag them at closer to $500 each.

    The jbl sounds better, the polk looks way better. I have both, but currently using klipsch rp series. Still using polk srs 2 and SRT here and there

    They've had the 707s for $1050/pair a couple of times in the past... and the 705s even cheaper (I don't recall the price).

    It's easy to say one sounds better than the other but the JBL is a horn where as the Polks are not.. I personally love horns for home theater but get really fatigued listening to music on horns for more than an hour or so. So I'd say figure out what you would want them for first then you can make a better decision.

    Yeah, deal is definitely not as good as in the past, but prices have been higher ever since the supply shortage late last year. Price for 707s + 706c + 703s is $2700. You used to able to get all those plus a Yamaha RX-A3070 ($1500 value) for $2800. Hard to say if we will ever see those prices again though.
