Was just poking around looking for info on this. Very little to be found. Amazon doesn't seem to carry it. Could it be a model # specifically branded for BestBuy?

This is a new model. It is on the Canon website HERE [canon.com].

It appears to be an update to Color imageCLASS MF632Cdw [canon.com] and/or Color imageCLASS MF634Cdw [canon.com] which are about 2 years old. It uses a new toner cartridge, and it has smaller dimensions, so it is not merely a cosmetic refresh.

The Best Buy offer is listed on the Google Express site with an extra 20% off for first Google Express order.

Yes, it says it does on the CANON website. Search the model: mf642cdw

They really make you have to dig around to get a clear answer on this, it's odd. Anyway, it's duplex printing, NOT duplex scanning. Here's a link to a product brochure (refers to scanning as "simplex"), which some may find helpful.

Considering its not duplex scanning, I'm thinking price is sort of meh, but with little in the way of reviews or info, it's not a firm call on that.

I have used this machine over 3 years, watching the price drop and drop...this printer works well .and I really like the 3rd party toner.

I just order this mf642cdw yesterday from Google Express (BestBuy) with the $20 discount for 1st order so it went from $224 to $204 and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow by ONTRAC. It Came Out 03/08/2019 (30 days ago today 4/8/19.) So obviously it will not have many reviews yet. I fully trust the strength behind the solid name "Canon" & it comes with 3 Yr. Warranty. It's a Color Laser Printer guaranteed for 3 yrs. By one of the best for only $204.00 & 2 day shipping included. What more can I ask for. My favorite features, the ability to scan & or email documents directly from the system's panel. And it's WIRELESS, does not require a Router all the time. It says it has duplex ability. I will know more tomorrow when it's here. Smilie

Just bought one too. It's cheaper than the 632 which it looks like it's supposed to replace? Maybe they discounted the wrong one 🤷 ♂️
