The deal isn't expired, you can still get the Lavazza LB 910 from ItalyBestCoffee for $106.25 after applying the "welcome15" code.
The Lavazza Blue system is a single serve capsule system similar to Nespresso that is currently marketed to offices, hotels, and even restaurants.

Although the LB 910 is an entry level Lavazza Blue machine, it's a quality product, there are no junky "knock-off" Lavazza Blue machines. The LB 910 is engineered by Lavazza and is made in Italy by Imper.
Lavazza Blue is superior to Nespresso in several areas:
1) Lavazza Blue capsules have more coffee 8g - 12g in each capsule versus Nespresso's 5g - 7g resulting in richer shots.
2) Genuine Lavazza Blue capsules cost less than "real" Nespresso capsules. Lavazza Blue capsules can be found for less than 30¢ each on Ebay and other internet sellers (SuperMarketItaly for one). Everyone knows real Nespresso cost around 70¢. You may find Nespresso "compatible" capsules for less, but they're not in the same league as Lavazza Blue or real Nespresso.
3) "Lower" pressure of 9 bars compared to Nespresso machines that range from 15 to 20 bars. This lower pressure (still high though) is actually better since it allows for a longer extraction around 26 seconds (compared to 15 -17 seconds with Nespresso). Lavazza Blue machines make shots using the requirements outlined for authentic Italian Espresso as stated by the Italian Espresso National Institute (7g coffee, 9 bars, 25 to 26 seconds)
http://www.espressoitaliano.org/f..._hq_en.pdf
Nespresso doesn't.
4) Better aroma, more persistent crema and in my opinion, better flavor. The aroma is striking, it hits you almost immediately.
Besides the large variety of Lavazza Blue capsules and contrary to other reviews I've read, there are a lot of other Italian brands that make Blue compatible capsules: Kimbo, Gimoka, Covim, Karoma, Bristot, Pera, Il Caffe, etc., you just have to look around. Lavazza Blue capsules are hermetically sealed and have a very long shelf life.
With better quality espresso and much lower cost of capsules, I believe Lavazza Blue is a compelling system worthy of switching to.
Notes: You should descale annually or when necessary, but for some reason this information is not in the owner's manual that comes with the machine. See the attached photo of descaling instructions supplied by a Lavazza rep. There is also a descaling kit part LB910 #10081595 which looks like a dummy capsule attached to a plastic rod. Alternatively, there is now an aftermarket refillable cup available but it's a little pricey.
https://www.amazon.com/Refillable...=1-2-fkmr2 You can also descale "without" a dummy capsule. Use descaler and run empty cycles as described in chapter 8 of the maintenance manual referenced below. Program the bottom button to a maximum shot (4 oz) and run empty cycles. Keep in mind the descaler/water will go directly into the used capsule bin rather than coming out the spout.
If you purchase the LB 910 you should download the maintenance manual. It's not provided with the machine, nor is it available by searching online, but you can download it here:
https://lavazzablue.files.wordpre...manual.pdf It contains several function instructions not mentioned in the owner's manual. Resetting to the factory default settings, changing the espresso temperature, running a cycle without a capsule, descaling, etc.

And although I agree that genuine Nespresso capsule do retail for $0.70/each (and up) in the U.S., they are much, much cheaper elsewhere; even here can be had for less with deals.
Because of the larger market, there are very good alternates (like Peet's) that sell for prices (comparable to these (again, with deals/sales/discounts) - not unusual to find Peet's for ~$0.36 or less. I got my last batch of Peet's for $0.26

My biggest complaint with Nespresso is the fact that the capsules are too small. No matter how good the coffee is I have to use two Nespresso caps. I only need one with the Lavazza Blue for a 2.5 to 3 oz shot...and it's amazing.
I like the fact that you don't have to wait for a sale to get inexpensive Blue capsules. If you scroll down this site you'll find a seller that has Lavazza Blue "Intenso" for $27.99/100 and $26.99/100 for "Espresso Dolce" 100% Arabica. These are the "real deal" Lavazza capsules, equivalent to Nespresso brand in quality, for sure! There are a couple other sites with prices as good. https://picclick.com/?q=lavazza+b...

If you already have a Nespresso machine and love it more power to you. Like I said, I like Nespresso too. If you are ready to upgrade to something better, or are just buying your first single serve machine this Lavazza Blue machine for just over $100 is pretty compelling. One thing I noticed upon unboxing the LB 910, it's just a nicer machine than my Delonghi Inissia. I guess that's all personal taste, but it does have a European feel to it.
Lastly, WholeLatteLove did a great youtube review of it: https://youtu.be/L5fU2Kj3-Zg
The price of this Lavazza is very attractive. Do you have a recommendation for which capsules to get to best get me the espressos I was drinking in Rome/Florence? Also am I correct that this indeed uses a high pressure pump to pull the shot?

I like the Lavazza Blue "Intenso" capsules. Currently this one seller on Ebay has the best deal on Lavazza Blue capsules. The Intenso $27.99, Dolce $26.99, and even Decaffinato for $25.99 with fast free shipping. These are for boxes of 100 and all have good expiration dates. They're the cheapest I have found so far. Aside from the great price they are top notch in quality.

One last tip. I figured out that "both" buttons are easily programmed for the brew size. To program, put in a capsule, press to start brewing the button you wish to program and hold it for "5" seconds. It will start flashing fast and you can let go. When the amount of coffee you want is poured, press the button once more to stop brewing and save the setting.

It is a resounding "Yes", I think people should take a chance for something better. People that don't believe me don't know what they're missing.
I did my homework. I took a shot on it because I compared the different capsule systems out there, not just Nespresso. The Lavazza Blue system uses more coffee in each capsule, almost twice as much as your average Nespresso capsule, and the capsules are cheaper. Then I read reviews and watched that wholelattelove video of the LB 910, and I found this deal. It was enough to convince me. Worth every penny my friend.

And Kimbo BLUE Napoli capsules $29.99 for 96 (nothing like variety) https://www.supermarket
