It's considered to be more an entry level depending who you talk to, but someone else's entry level maybe a home theater in a box type thing so take it as you like. Some audiophiles can be a little snobby when it comes to specs and spending a certain amount of cash so they will hate. Everyone has their own budget and if this is within it, it is good for the money.
Why is this cheap crap? This isn't cheap for many people and will do just fine for most people. If you have a dedicated HT room then obviously you're not going to fill it with this stuff but look around once in a while and be thankful for what you have/worked for. People like you would never walk into someone's living room and say that out loud but come on here with your nose high spouting nonsense it's just annoying. These are not for me.... clearly not for you but perfect at a great price for many...many people.
Can someone smarter than me explain how this isn't a stupid-good deal?

been looking out for a deal on this speaker set for a long time for my first home theater setup. i'm just wondering now though how these compare to the infinity reference speakers that are also on sale now for a 13'x12' room?

I just bought a pair of Infinity R162 speakers, how do the bookshelfs from this set compare?

I haven't heard those, but its all on your own preference and what your ears like. You can make decisions based off specs, but that does not mean you will enjoy one brand or model over the other. Though it looks like the R162 has a better range compared to the R-41 and to me I feel the R-41 are good as rear speakers and not so much as dedicated fronts. Maybe if you pair with a sub and using it for PC speakers. Other than that it does what is needed in this kit.
They had a deal about a week ago that had these speakers plus option for two different receivers. Lower end receiver was around 890 and higher end around 1029. I bought the second option. Received it in couple of days. I am not a speaker expert but this is the cheapest it has been in few months and worth pulling a trigger if you dont need a receiver or can buy that seperate.
I had bought 5 speakers deals of Klipsch earlier. But now looking just a subwoofer.. any idea if Adorama can do something as I bought more than 30 days back. Or if there is deal on subs? Please suggest.

Just keep a look out the Klipsch 10in and 12in are always going on sale if that is what you are looking for.

It's a good deal for folks who enjoy the Klipsch sound signature. Like someone earlier mentioned, it's all in the eye of the beholder and everyone has their budget and reasons. For those who are looking for an entire system in this price range and like the sound, it's a fantastic deal.
Well damnit, I really needed a sub, wish I had known they were gonna do this deal a month after the $500 deal without a sub! Wonder if adorama will give me the sub for $150 if I complain enough? Literally the last piece of my setup I need is the sub.
