I've never owned a projector but I've been keeping an eye out the past year or so. I've seen this particular projector pop up a few times here and there and this seems like an awesome deal.

Someone talk me out of buying this lol.

My max budget is $3,000 and I would mainly use it to watch movies/sports. Should I wait for upcoming models?

Yes, you do get full warranty on the product as long as you provide the receipt when you claim the warranty service.

You should wait for upcoming projector . This not really a 4K projector . It has 4K Dlp technology. Only Sony has original 4K uhd lens .

Thanks I also called Buydig they say warranty is valid if previous owner didn't register this. Kind of a gamble then ? Also 45 days returns only if defective or damaged.

So open box now means used and returned according to Buydig? Kind of sketchy then because the projector might have problems.
