PSA - Creative way to consolidate Lowes gift cards
I apologize if this has been blatantly obvious to others, but I thought I would post it in case it could help someone out! Especially with the flood of 11% back rebates coming in.
I seem to have a random assortment of Lowes Gift cards of different denominations , mostly from the different receipts I submitted from the 11% rebate. I noticed that when I would place an order online and cancel it, they would mail me a merchandise credit worth the combined value of all gift cards I used on the order.
So you could theoretically place an order for an item worth more than the balance of your gift cards, and then turn around and cancel it. They would then send you out a single gift card for the combined value.

I just wanted to post this picture of the refund I received in the mail yesterday. This was for an online order for in-store pickup. I used multiple small denomination gift cards and they sent out this refund card. According to the TOC of the letter that came with the card, it can be used both instore and online. I have close to 10-20 emails with electronic gift codes from the 11% rebates, and it has been a huge pain keeping track of them, which ones i used etc.. So if i could have just one physical card with all their balances combined, it will make my life much easier. Again YMMV on the time savings.
After you place your order, do you cancel it right away or wait a certain period of time? Also, do they send you the consolidated card via email or postal mail?

The past 2 orders I have cancelled (or had cancelled ) in the past month or 2 , they have shipped them out via UPS, like 2nd day air or something. You also get an email from Lowes for the "order" they placed for the gift card and includes a tracking # also. It normally takes a few days for their system to send out the refund, but I have had 100% success this way. I hope that helps!
