Sweet. Tax in Texas, but still cheaper than recent front page deal.

I have this receiver and so far, so good. Only issue I have is the occasional ARC disconnect between it and my LG OLED C7 (oddly enough, my previous Onkyo didn't have this issue with the same TV). As I mostly use my FireStick or PS4 Pro for content, it's not a big issue. They've done a good job of adding features via firmware (eARC, AirPlay2, etc.).

While I bought this particular new ($600 from B&H), I've purchased two Onkyo refubs from Onkyo in the past (TX-SR800 & TX-NR708) and have had a good experience with both. One of my older recievers (TX-NR708) failed with the bad cap issue almost three years after its warranty expired, but they fixed it completely for free.

Yes, it was promised at launch and they added it in a firmware update.

I've been eyeing this as a cheap way to get into 11 channel atmos, almost jumped at other current FP deal. Too bad it is out currently.

Does anyone know of any other place to get this receiver for under $500? I was so excited for this deal that I started frantically shopping around for speakers and by the time I got back here, the deal expired. Frown
