This is NORMAL PRICE but is now available after selling out a couple of months back in an expired deal. If you couldn't get one before and wanted a set, now's the time. I ordered a couple, they're now shipped, and the NSA thanks me for it.

Do we need Wyze cam for this to connect to Smartthings? Or can this be used with ifttt and Smartthings?

You need a wyze cam, it comes with a hub that plugs into the back of a Wyze cam V2 or Wyze Cam pan's USB port. The hub transmits to the sensors using a proprietary radio band to have them save power and uses the cameras wifi connection to send the status to the app. They do have IFTTT working. You can read more here https://www.wyze.com/wyze-sense/

I got in on the pre-purchase and they are super small sensors, smaller than the Zmodo ones I have. But I am waiting for them to have a siren product before I switch out my other sensors. Wyze is supposedly going to come out with a smart light bulb this summer. Also an outdoor and doorbell camera but no ETA on those.

Are they offering the individual sensors? I can't seem to find them available on the site. If I am going to pay for shipping might as well stock up.

these are ok but they aren't wow or anything new.

nice if you have only a wyze cam but if you're already setup in the smart home world, nothing new to see here.

i'm going to wait to see if these go cheaper somewhere else with free shipping and no tax which amounts to an extra $6.

because of the pricing, i think you are better off just buying the starter kits.

Click at the top "Shop Individual Sensors". Then in the bundle pull down select what extras to order.

I have one of their cams and they work great. Don't see the benefit of the sensor over adding another cam that costs $5 more.

In my opinion, for the price, starter kit, $20 and 4 contact sensor expansion pack for $20 and 1 motion sensor for $6, with "hub" attached to camera and ifttt as well as Alexa, google integration, would potentially enable me to eliminate my SmartThings hub and the cost of the compatible sensors is like $20 for 1 contact sensor.

I think I will at least give them a try, also, given the roadmap of products.

While not "new", it provides a lower cost solution and a more attractive entry point and competition can be healthy.

Like you I'm waiting for them to be at 3rd party retailers with better shipping/delivery or pickup.

Exactly, what good is knowing someone opened a door if you can't see who?

The sensors send alerts. Great for doggy doors and garage doors, to remind you at a set time if they are open (say, 8:00pm check to see if you either open.) If you have a dryer with a timer dial, you can even get alerts when the dryer's done. You can use motion detector to initiate cam recording even before a person enters the camera's range, which can be useful in avoiding recording lag issues.

And you get two sensors and a motion detector for the price of a cam, so the value difference is great than $5.

It's a specific need, and there are alternatives (the $35 garage door opener, so example, can send open alerts, too). But it a build out of the Wyze ecosystem that opens possibilities.

Wonder how good is the range from the adapter? I noticed poor signal on a wyze cam in areas of my house where same location with a mobile device connects just fine to the wifi signal..

You have to have that inital "starter kit" for $19 Once you have that and a Wyze Cam, then you can buy a 4 pack of additional sensors for $19 or additional Motion detectors for $5.99 each
