Don't be so rude. That was why I asked.
This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.
All depends on your usage. personally I use most of my data on wifi so I would rather have 3 GB to use over a year instead of 250 mb a month where I might only use 100 mb one month and the next I need 1 GB for traveling.

just go back a few posts and find the link for the one with separate activation card and byop kit, best choice all around. it's same as the I Don't Know option.
It's only $40 now, there have been several threads over the past few months.
I assume you're referring to auction 283493024108. Your contributions here are greatly appreciated. I purchased three of these when "I Don't Know" was an option based on your recommendations/experiences and all went well, but now that that option is gone I'm feeling unsure about pulling the trigger.

Correct. If there is no option to choose a network then it's the I Don't Know option just like earlier, won't be an issue. Over the past few months Tracfone has listed it several ways, when then ran out they relisted this one separately - and now even cheaper since early October.

so this is the 'i dont know' pin card that comes with the 3 different sims, but you can add the pin card to your existing.

yes essentially. There are a lot of warnings on the pin card to use it only with the product purchased or it will be voided but I think they are just trying to scare us into avoiding this deal

Been using mine since end of May when first listed, no issues here when added to 3 phones. No idea why they're selling these so cheap but glad they are - some people have said they called & asked CS about adding to current accounts and were told it was OK, others were told it wouldn't work. Typical Tracfone customer service, they have no idea what's going on if it isn't spelled out in their manual.

i saw that yesterday on the listing and thought the same thing. think their goal here is to get new lines opened and when people refile thats were they make the money. kind of like the old cheap ink printers, but expensive ink carts.

Just wanted to follow-up for anyone playing along at home. I took your always helpful advice and purchased from # 283493024108 and received exactly what I had hoped for: The scratch off Pin card (and some other stuff I won't need/use). These are such a great deal for the way we use the phones (mostly on Wi-Fi), and with the eBay bonus bucks - made that much sweeter. Thanks again!

if you didn't get a separate card your plan is included on the sim, just call TF & they will activate & give you a new number.
I didn't get a separate card, when I called to activate Tracfone asked for the card/pin. Escalated it during 3 hours and nothing. They say they have nothing to do with Tracfone shop on Ebay.

Then you got a rep that didn't know what they were talking about - eBay listing very clearly shows item is shipped & sold by Tracfone - mine were all sent direct from TF.
There are 2 listings - one has separate activation card (blue, looks like listing on site) with scratch off pin on back & standard BYOP kit that let's you choose a network to use & there's another choice where you order by network & service time is preloaded on sim & added when you activate (no pin needed).
Which did you order?

Has anyone had a problem adding sim card?
I call customer service to swap some cards no minutes or other stuff applied to account.
So I called back to tracfone and they won't help.
Any help on here what to do.
I did reach out to tracfone via eBay.
See what happens there

I always used chat. I always ask mulitple times to have them confirm what my balance of minutes will be after I make any changes. I also make sure I tell them I want to keep my existing number and not have a new one.

I avoid using the phone at all costs (not sure). I would reach out to paypal or ebay possibly to see if they can help.

I just did a SIM exchange yesterday w/ Tracfone over the phone. because my old phone died. Bought a new MOTO phone from HSN that came with a Verizon SIM. They activated my phone with the new SIM, then moved by old number with T-mobile service to the Verizon Sim phone, and with the transfer also automatically transferred my rollover minutes, text, and data. Then it deactivated my old SIM. The actual transfer took about 30 minutes as I was going from T-mobile service to Verizon service so this complicated the transfer. The trick is that you must activate your new SIM or service first, then move the old service by moving your number. . As soon as you move the the old SIM or service it will deactivate, and once it is deactivated then it is lost and Tracfone cannot bring it back. For me customer service over the phone was very helpful, and they even promised to call me back in 2 hours to be sure all went well, and in 2 hours they did call me back. If you get really stuck ask to talk with tech support, they are very knowledgeable.
