People like you are why return policies from places like Costco and Amazon keep getting more stringent and prices go up. I wouldn't be surprised if you sent used items back as unopened, which is why we also get sent open items as new at times.

In case this is of importance to anyone: those are merely stickers on the sticks and not actual heatsinks.

Same here. Submitted a price rewind once and now it falls again. Thinking I should have waited now.

I got 4 ram slots and want to buy two sets to total 64gb for a server/test machine/audio/video rendering; How important is it to get a set of all 4 matching ram? Any performance degradation with two different sets?

Others will disagree but I'd say if mismatch ram sticks works then so be it. But you will not know until you know. Then again you could actually go buy the same kit you have now and it could not work with what you have now and or be different ram chips. If you have a cheap motherboard I would not take any chances.

32gb overkill. Even gaming 16gb is overkill. Who is using this much ram on their computer?
