Good thing is that the length of the dumbbell is less at lower weights vs the bowflex always having the long length irrespective of the weight. While I haven't personally used the bowflex, this is a concern I had every time I looked at the product.

That makes sense. Nordic track, Gold's Gym, Weider, Proform, and more are all owned by the same company (Icon Fitness). There is a whole lot of overlap in their product lines.

personally i dont think there would be a material difference in term of quality. Nowaday many companies launch the same products under different brand name to play games in the market... in term of market share, pricing strategy, brand recognition etc....
