I bought my parents a 65" series 6. Seriously, you would be better off with one of those rather than a series 4 that is slightly larger, and they've been selling for less than this. This isn't a bad price for this once, but it's a budget TV and you're better off getting one just a bit smaller that has all the bells and whistles as far as LED TVs go.

Might pull the trigger on this one. Only thing I'm looking at is size since it's for my parents and they couldn't care less if it was 1080 or 4k or if it has any bells or whistles, they just need something bigger than the 60in they currently have. Is there anything larger that has a better price per inch than this TV?

weaker HDR, but overall good for SDR.

Really need Madvr to get any decent HDR highlights out of this set.

I don't know what people are thinking, viewing angle is no worse on these than most. I would stock up on 4K content at this size. Upscaling only goes so far, <1080p would be sad. I'm maxed out with 65" 6 series but I do like my 55S405 for general media.
