If you have an HDMI 2.0 on both card and machine you can max @ 144.
I am not sure what people are confused about. This monitor does support 1080p @ 75Hz with Freesync over HDMI. If you are using an Nvidia card, Freesync is only supported over DP, not HDMI. That said, you will still have a refresh rate of 75Hz. If you have an AMD card, Freesync works over both DP and HDMI.
Good deal for a sub 100 monitor. Unless you are a high end gamer with crazy needs, this is a great monitor

One review mentions it does and a CS response to a question on the page says it has 75mm x 75mm VESA mounts.

Yes. Looking at the pics from LG's website shows it VESA mount capable, 75mm x 75mm. What's interesting is that it says 75hz but I didnt think HDMI supported that refresh rate and I dont see DisplayPort.

Got the 27 inch version of this a month or so ago for $100 from B&H. Although I would not say I have tough requirements of them, could not be happier with my purchase, especially given the VESA compatibility.

Sounds like a solid deal. I am looking to put two of these in portrait mode around my main monitor. Now I can't decide if I want 27" or 24"

HDMI 2.0 maxes at 4K 60hz so It should be able to handle 75hz if it's HDMI 2.0, otherwise displayport can handle that.

If you don't care about reading text been a bit fuzzy, go for 27", if you do 24" would be the choice.
