Google Nest Thermostat 3rd Gen + 2-pack Sensors + Home Mini for a total of $190.15 + tax.

You must add a Google home mini to your cart (which shows $19.88 after automatic price adjustment).

If you decide to return the Google home mini later, I believe that you will receive $19.88+tax in refund, which effectively makes the Thermostat & 2-Sensor bunudle $170.27 + tax.

Just a warning about the sensors. I have the nest with a sensor and a home hub and mini. You can only ask the temperature of the thermostat itself through the mini or voice commands. The service doesn't return the temperature of the sensors themselves. However the nest can be programmed to use the sensors to turn your heat or air conditioning on and off. So there is a use for them, but they didn't work as I had hoped when I purchased mine to just return the temperature of a particular room.
The previous owners of this place had some sketchy contractors work on the place, including replacing the electrical panel and neglecting to ground the house. Whoever replaced the HVAC used some screwy wiring, and the colors didn't match. The old thermostat was a Trane and wasn't labeled properly, and I didn't have any paperwork, forcing me to find the wiring diagram online. The wiring diagram wasn't an exact match, either, because there were several variations, and the document was not the best quality.

I chatted with Nest to ask their advice, and they were stumped, too, and suggested I hire a pro. I guessed at a solution, connected it again, and it worked.

That said, a big issue with older systems is the lack of a C wire, which I've read about people encountering online. That's a significant issue apparently.

Like you've encountered, my first replacement was a piece of cake. Pop off the thermostat, reconnect the wires, replace on the wall, and that's it. The other more problematic situations are in the minority, but they do occur.

I'm seeing $214.15 through that link.

And is this deal online HD only?
I hate how the B&M HD won't match their online HD prices. But, they will match both in store and online Lowe's..

Previously ordered the Costco deal for $150. This is slicker. $190 plus can hopefully return the home. Those sensors go for $40 each. Hope they are packaged separately. If not may have to return.
