What the difference between R-51M and R-51 PM beside the build-in amplifier and bluetooth? Thanks.

I bought the edifiers, extremely impressed with them. I see these Klipsch have bigger drivers and probably bigger cabinet overall so it may come down to use case. I have my edis right on my computer desk and they are borderline too big as is... maybe I just need a bigger desk though😂

i regret not buying those edifiers at 140... i decided not to because this subwoofer that i wanted to pair with wasnt in stock or something. Im still trying to find something to replace my old logitech z623 speakers... i had them for some long i really want an upgrade. o well next time. Im sure these klipsch are better than the edifiers but it gets a little too pricey if i pair up a sub...

Amazon has the Klipsch ProMedia PC speakers for $124. I replaced my Logitech Z623's with this and am really happy with it. Comes with 2 speakers and a subwoofer.

I Just replaced my logitech Z-2300 with the Edifier R1850DB deal. I modded my Z-2300 to replace the satellites with some higher end JBL book shelf speakers. Overall I feel like the edifier setup is better because it offers close to same sounds stage as the Z-2300 - some base + some cleaner mids/highs and has a very small profile for a self powered unit.

I don't think the lack of sub woofer is really a con for the Edifier setup because either setup wouldn't fill up a decent size room with a robust and crisp sound the way a proper theater setup would. Although for office/small flat or computer use the Edifier's are great choice.

I almost reached for these, but over all I'm glad I didn't. (mainly due to size and my general use as computer speakers)

If you have the money to spend these rank among the best setups for self powered speakers on the market right now. Just make sure to check out reviews on what applications you want to use these for.

Can someone suggest an appropriate subwoofer that would match well with this set? Thanks.

I love Klipsch, and I'm glad they offer a powered solution as it can be used in several very convenient configurations, like wireless rears in a theater.

For those looking for a basic computer setup or something near the source, you could save a lot of money and get the non-powered version and supplement it with a basic mini stereo amp. There are tons available on Amazon for <$50 and 50 Watts per channel should be enough to cover Klipsch bookshelf speakers. I picked up a Lepai (LP-2020TI) for $30 to cover my patio speakers, and it works surprisingly well.

For added hipster flair, mini tube amps are a thing, but more expensive. I'd recommend looking up replacement tube costs before ordering. I've also heard of people pulling them apart and finding a basic amp with a glowing and unused tube on top, so don't go too cheap and read a few reviews.

Well...adorama doesn't charge tax in WA. I literally don't remember the last time I bought something online and *didn't* have to pay sales tax.
I also got the edifiers and will have to decide on which ones to keep...ugh. 1st world problems

I know the Sonos 1 is a completely different category, but price-wise, they're similar. How would two Sonos 1s sound compared to these?

Pardon my ignorance but could these be used as part of a home theater? Used as a 2.1 initially but then add to a 5.1 etc.
