So if I get this deal, can I cancel the new line after a month? How long should I wait before cancelling? Any other terms for the deal if I'm getting a new line activated through Verizon?

Why would you do that?
With activation fee, 1 month of plan, and the usual taxes/fees, you could just buy the phone for the same price, and not have to deal with activation and cancelling.

Here is what i'm getting. $84 for phone with taxes, $55 Plan for a month & $40 Activation. so the total comes to somewhere around $180 with taxes. $50 savings is not bad Wink

You can cancel the line immediately. If done within 3 days, no charges or activation.

Unlike other Verizon or other service provider bundle, tou get this as an unlocked phone. Take it out, put any sim and you are good to go, even without activating it first on verizon. Service cancellation within 3 days attracts no charge

Unless you are looking for a new line or account, an early cancellation of service at Verizon would not attract any addition charges. Ao you get the phone for $85, tax paid

Hmm. This would be a decent upgrade from my G6 Play, even though the PPI is slightly less.

You get a new number, but don't end up using it, right? Do they give you a hard time when you try to cancel? Need a good reason? Have you done it?

Has anyone else done this?

Cancellation isn't tough since the phone is paid upfront, and there is no commitment for the service

Any step by step appreciated.
I use T-mobile prepaid and would like a phone with more internal mem to use.Can someone spell this out to a 60 yr old dummy?
So, The Amazon deal is better? I don't see any breakout of the dif prices. What you really cancel. OR how to cancel and end up with a phone. How to cancel in 3 days or less? Where to cancel?

Were you able to get the phone and then cancel without paying any fees?

The 32GB/3GB is now $49.99 and the 64GB/4GB version is $79.99. Maybe because of prime day?

I'm confused. Isn't the activation process done when you buy it? Isn't that how you get the price? Your OP says "with Verizon activation".
On bestbuy.com, it says "$49.99 activate today" or "$199.99 activate later".

The phone comes with a sim, that you would need to put in to activate your line/account. If you call Verizon and cancel your line in first 3 days, you should be good without being charged. The phone, of course comes unlocked, so can be used on any other provider sim

Quick question about this. Do you happen to know what would happen if you get the phone and don't activate it?
