It works with Smart things, but you have to add a sensor or something.

Fwiw, I purchased at $50 during the last sale and have enjoyed using it a few times when:

* My wife went to work and may have forgotten to close the door. So I checked and closed the door from bed since I was sleeping in a bit! :p
* When we went to grab food and my neighbor let me know the door was open.
* When cutting the grass and I don't want to take off my shoes to go around to the garage from the inside.

Really I have a door sensor on SmartThings so that I can see if the door is closed. And I swap to the MyQ app when I need to activate it. No biggie.
If I remember right, thsi doesn't work with smartthings or Alexa and requires a yearly fee?
Hopefully time machines will go on sale so we can go back in time to buy this!

Yeah, the switching to the app isn't a deal breaker, but do you have a subscript on fee? I'm not looking to add a subscription when ring doorbell has one already. My openers are 15 years old so it might make more sense to just upgrade the whole system.

That makes two of us. Went through the instructional video, seems easy to install. I have a chamberlain liftmaster already.

Yeah that's what I have also. the keypad next to the garage stops working sometimes and that's our main entrance.

Yeah the water condensation from outside causes rust and cable failure. But I also don't like the use of traditional remotes in case thieves break into your car and take the remote along with your registration that has your address on it (happened to my coworker).

Cheers to liftmasters buddies!! ApplauseApplause
