Did it happen last year?
According to price history, yes. This is essentially a few yrs. old wheel... I mean, Im pretty sure the price will continue to drop even before Black Fri.
Pardon my ignorance, I am an American raised on automatic gears.

There are true manual cars that have the manual shifter mounted in center.

If I'm driving a modern supercar or GT car or F1, I'll use the paddle shifters because that's what the cars have. But if I'm driving anything with a stick shift, which is the bulk of what I drive, then the shifter is clutch. And for sims like Euro Truck Sim / American Truck Sim I can use it to recreate the feel of the 10/12/18 speed shifters of the actual trucks.
I actually like this better than the Thrustmaster T300 (though I'm in the minority). The G29 has more immediate force feedback, the leather wheel feels better to hold, there's no fan to be noisy and potentially fail, the pedals feel better, Logitech durability and support are better, and the optional shifter is only $50 vs $150 (and I actually prefer it to the $150 Thrustmaster one).
If you're on PC, the G29 is the one to get as it has an extra 8 buttons.
