This is the 1650.. if it were TI or 1660 I'd probably upgrade but I'm waiting for the 9750 2060 laptops to go under $1k...maybe even with better screen

If it cant 1080 game on high its not worth being called a gaming computer.... This to me is a pass. You can get 1050 Acers when on sale for way less.

My 2cents, earlier this year I bought a Dell G5 2018 with the GTX1060 & i5 8300H for $850 w/tax. 3 weeks later I returned it and got the Dell G5 2019 for $1200 w/tax but got $280 in reward points. $920 in my mind.

Dell G5 5590 Has a 15" thin bezel 144hz screen
Intel i7 9th Gen
GTX 1660ti
8GB RAM (Upgrade to 32gb with the points I got back)
256GB NVME (Upgraded to 1tb NVME with points)
1TB HDD
USBC - Thundebolt
Mini Display-Port & HDMI

I recommend not going below the GTX 1660. Even with mixed settings, laptops get hot and will downthrottle speeds so I say go for the middleground. 1650 is the lower end when it comes to mobile graphics card. With the GTX 1660ti that I have, i don't have any trouble gaming on an external monitor and running youtube videos on the laptop display. Or vice versa. I even gamed on 4k (Fortnite) medium mixed settings 60hz.
