HD GCs are nothing but a royal pain to use. If there is a problem, they do not help. Stay as far away as possible to these GCs.

Disagree. Bought a few of these and just got two suncast sheds last weekend.

Loaded up my cart, self checkout so I wouldn't piss off the attendant, and scanned 10 gift cards no problem... Was getting in to a good rhythm by the end

They are awful. I have tried to order from them several times when they had deals. No matter how I tried to pay it never went through. Same lame excuse every-time.

egifter is a waste of time.

I've had the opposite experience - I recently accidentally threw away a partially used GC. Called Home Depot's customer service, they immediately canceled the old card and issued me a new one. Very pleasantly surprised, and really makes me more confident about buying / using GCs there in the future.

I also had a very good experience with HD's customer support. I wonder if people are more talking about HD GC that they bought from a third party like this website. Because if that's the case, HD isn't responsible for issues with the GC. It's the seller that sold it that is responsible.

I have never purchase gc's from egifter, so can't comment on that, however we buy HD gift cards from
RA (riteaid) all the time when they give us a RA bonus.
We have never had a problem with HD gift cards. Use them all the time.
You can use HD gift cards for online purchases
