Starting 8/7 and through 9/1 Costco will have the Arlo Pro 2 with 3 cameras and 3 Magnetic Camera Mounts and 3 Outdoor Security Mounts for $379 plus tax.
Owning the Arlo Pro with 5 cameras I'd say I *was* satisfied, until they bonked the email alerts to no longer send pictures.....for months now...with no plans to fix...and constant run around.....so, yeah, that's been pretty annoying. If you don't care about customer support well then......
The cameras are great, but the new Arlo app is extremely buggy and takes forever to connect to cameras. Geofencing doesn't work on iPhone or Android phones either. I would say this deal isn't worth it unless they either fix the Arlo app or discount this by as much as 50% off.
It's worth pointing out that free Arlo monitoring will be removed for newer users. Only if you own an older model will they honor it. They already removed the "free subscription" wording in their app stating instead that you do not have a paid subscription.

You can set the Arlo to send you email alerts with a picture of what is being recorded so you have some idea of what's going on to decide if you need to watch the full video.....at least it *used* to send you a picture. Now, you just get the alert, but have no idea what is being recorded unless you load up the video, so it's quite annoying to not have that quick check before deciding if you need to go watch the full video.

Well, to be clear, the banner on the page says, "Includes rolling 7 days cloud recording," which is one of two free plans they call "no subscription" (details[arlo.com]). I'm not sure if there's a distinction here between "cloud recording" and "monitoring." Are you saying that, unless someone pays for a subscription, the app will not allow them to see a live image and instead will only allow them to look back at what has been recorded for up to a week?

I bought this package from Costco on July 15 when it was supposedly "On Sale" for $70 off, then I received my member ad flyer and saw that it was $100 off in the flyer so I requested a price adjustment, now it is $120 off!!!! Have requested another price adjustment but Costco is becoming less and less a favorite with them pulling crap like this (in addition to other warehouse issues). Sad, because I've been a member forever and used to really like shopping there.

So you are mad at Costco because it went on sale multiple times for different prices? First, its a manufacturer warranty so not sure how much say Costco has with that. Second, be happy Costco has such a great policy that they'll price match it - twice.
Or, stay mad at Costco and cancel your membership. Thats one less person in the store.

you can simply return the item, costco has 90 day return policy on all electronics. then purchase brand new one on sale!, do not argue with them about adjustments!!!
I just installed the Arlo Pro and was wondering if I should just return that and get the Pro 2. Any suggestions? Wondering if it's even worth it since I don't use the paid subscription for the activity zone. I heard the night vision on the 1st Pro is better than the 2.
