Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

Cricket uses your account number and PIN to identify you for porting. You might have an issue going directly from Cricket to this plan though. AT&T owns Cricket and for a lot of these deals won't let you port directly. Need to go through some intermediary plan (Ting, Speedtalk, etc) first. Not sure about this particular plan though.

I ordered Sunday. Shipped Monday and received Tuesday.
Um... Still haven't received mine. Agent says their Texas warehouse is out of prepaid SIM card kits. I cannot cancel the order, either. Very annoying.

My wife just tried to order a new SIM for this plan and ATT website now shows the SIM Kit as free and a $50 bonus credit.

Way to go! Your order qualifies for a free SIM kit and bonus $50 account credit.

My experience was a little rough.. The thing is I didn't want to wait for the SIM to arrive so I went to an AT&T store; they said if I buy SIM there, I wont be able to avail the online offer. I had read the reviews on this forum where people said they bough SIM from stores and were able to get the promo.

Next I called customer care, the person on line said I could buy a SIM card from anywhere and they can port in, activate and apply the online promo as well.

So, I got the SIM from Target for $10. I called customer care to get the number ported and apply the online promo and this person was very sure that they cant apply the online promo on my account and if I wanted online deal, I would have to do it everything online and by myself and can't be done by calling customer care. I tried to tell her that people have done it but somehow her system and supervisor told her so. So I thought may be that's the way it is. I asked her to just port in my number and go for $50 a month plan since I was fed up of my carrier's network coverage. She tried doing that but after taking all my information (70 mins) she said she saw an error and I would get a call in 5 minutes from them to make sure it worked.

Nobody called for an hour. I called them back and the entire process was repeated and the next person also saw an error while port-in. They gave me port in department's number where they told me I had to call the usual prepaid customer care but this person connected me to the next person who I think had all information people were talking about in the forum. He was able to activate the new sim, port in the number and also apply the online promo plan to my account. It was past mid-night by then. I accessed my account online and paid for the plan. It took around 4 hours but finally I would be able to save some bucks!!

PS: AT&T, it would be great if associates at customer care have right set of information with them. Would save a lot of hassles and time to both customer care and customers.

Did u take the deal?
I see it too but not sure how the $50 will be credited. There is not way I can buy just the sim. Att store said they don't have the sim since this is online deal only. I guess they have a database of sim for this deal.
I might just go with it if they actually give me $50 credit. Going the other way (buy refill cards on eBay for cheaper and freeze cc) is a bit cheaper but alot of risk of headache

How long do you have to activate the plan? I know on Mint they only give you 45 days.

I got this plan more than a month ago and used refill card and credit freeze. No issues after the charge was declined. I checked this new option out of curiosity.

So I went in and tried put in my info to see how much it would be. On the lower left screen it says die today $300 and it will let me know the tax and fee after I put in my payment. However in the step where I put my number in and hit the button, it says number cannot be transferred and won't let me move on. I went out and Google the ATT porting eligible check and put in my number and it says eligible to port ...
Not sure what to do...Do their CS work over the weekend?

Around thanksgiving 2018, I paid 240 for the 360 days 10GB plan from red pocket. I picked the ATT sim over the T-mobile. Unless there is an urgent need for a plan now, I think people should wait. There is more room for better deal.
what he said right there..

Are we sure this plan gets the Data Free TV perk if you have a U-verse TV account to login with?

The website FAQ only says...

Data Free TV eligibility
You're eligible if you:

Have an AT&T wireless or select AT&T PREPAID plans
Have DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, or U-verse TV
Have the TV app for your service
Live in the U.S.

Good god... chat and call support was useless.

Redpocket service is horrible. Not sure about all the technical details but in the same location ATT postpaid and prepaid worked great but redpocket did nothing ( data was a total loss and even calls would not work) this was redpocket using ATT sim

I'm about to move my Verizon 6GB $35 Pre-Paid plan to this.

I also see this $50 bonus credit. Anyone know how this is handled?

Seems as though he's on the correct thread as he referenced the 8GB plan and not the 25GB with bonus.

@David36
Which AT&T prepaid phone did you buy?
I didn't. I'm using an unlocked device I have. Works currently with ATT prepaid plan.
