Oh gosh why do you continue writing your username after your post 😱
Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

I received the port error as well but went ahead and bought the sim. Supposed to be here tomorrow so hopefully, some rep will still be able to port over my h2o number. Also saw the $50 credit offer.

I went ahead and signed up. The card seller with T-Mo that I got for cheap on ebay is no more.

I got a twitter reply from AT&T saved saying Data Free TV stream will work so I can try and throw a fit if it doesn't.
Are you talking about the Data Free TV for DirectvNOW? Or ATT TV I guess it's now called? Where you can watch and doesn't count against your data?

Does anyone know if the $300 will be credited from CC immediately after activation or we would have time to add the refill cards purchased through ebay? I do not want to invest into ebay refill cards if I do not need to.

I think I am the 1st person here who successfully had this plan activated and added to my already existing prepaid account. No need to change my phone number, no need to port anything and no need to change sim cards. Heres how I did it. First I tried to call and have a rep do it over the phone which failed at first. I spoke to a few foreign reps as well as foreign supervisors who swore that this plan could only be applied if you set everything up online which I knew was wrong because I read on this forum how numerous people had the plan applied by phone. So after calling back repeatedly a few times I finally spoke to an American rep who set up the $300.00 promo plan in about 8 minutes and took all 6 of my prepaid cards that I had previously purchased from Sams club for 285 total and BOOM my plan was active. Just like that smooth as silk. The key is to speak to a non foreign rep over the phone to get this done. The reps with strong foreign accents either cannot or will not asisst you with this. Hope this helps you guys.

So this is a prepaid number with ATT that already existed on a different plan and you called and changed to this annual plan?

Absolutely. I have been on the $45.00 a month plan with 6GB per month since it was called go phone in 2013. Just switched to the promo plan today over the phone.

Why does it say my number can't be transferred? I'm on Straight Talk and I want to keep my number.

It always amazes me that they OVERNIGHT ship these things via fedex.

I was able to port from Cricket directly to this plan. When buying the plan I selected to port in a number, it said my cricket number eligible. It would not automatically activate, however following the instructions in the wiki I was able to get to a person who was able to get the number activated. Shortly afterwards everything worked as expected.

I don't see any indication of the $50 bonus (despite it showing up in my initial check out online), not sure if it will show up later or not. I did have to give the customer service rep my credit card info again to process payment.

So far, not a painless procedure, but not too difficult either.

It does not appear to charge the CC immediately after activation. I am currently waiting on mine and believe I could apply gift cards now if I had them. Others have reported they got double charged when they called a rep and gave them CC info (because the original online order eventually got applied). I'm hoping to avoid that hassle, but hope I don't have to wait too long.

-Do they send you the sim with your port-in number associated with the sim already? So you use your phone service with your old provider until you insert the sim into your phone right.

-I just wanted to make sure there is no time when your phone number is in limbo.
I wasn't sure if I should buy the plan with a temp number and then port in.?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, the number was associated with the SIM and there was no gap in service. At least for me there was no need for an intermediary service to port the number through.

When you get the SIM card, I would recommend first using the online webpage for prepaid activation as the instructions in the SIM card booklet seem out of date. If it doesn't work automatically online (it said it was activated for me, and showed my ported number, but nothing happened actually), then call the number in the wiki and follow the directions there. Phone call took all of 10 minutes, 8 of which was waiting on hold.
