The 74 inch Hammarp solid wood countertop is normally $149 and it was advertised as such at Ikea on their display, however when the employee created the order form for me, it was only $89 and thats what I paid at the register.

This was in the St. Louis, MO Ikea. I don't know of this is nationwide.

I went this evening and it looks like they've lowered the prices again. The 74" is $59 and the 98" is $79.

Pretty sweet prices. I've attached a picture of the tag from the floor display.

I picked up the 96" for $49.99 last weel. I was originally looking at the 6ft ones, but when I went to pay, the lady working there mentioned that the 8ft. ones were the same price.

I ended up getting 3 of the 8ft Hammarp tops for just under $150 (before tax).

Seems like a pretty dang sweet deal to me.

Also note: I ended up wanting to exchange one because of some cosmetic flaws, but they didn't have any more in stock. However, the lady said they were indeed getting more back in stock and that the price would be the same.

I'm going to guess this is an in store only deal for stores that still have this item in stock? I haven't seen it on their site in awhile. I'm in MA and could drive an hour+ to check out the Ikea we have, but I'm doubtful they will still have it.

FYI this item is discontinued as of October, some stores have them still and at clearance prices. Got a few 6' and 8' for $69 and $99
