Seems like a solid deal. Are these any cheaper around black Friday? Slickdeals don't have much history in the search.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the e-mails, but I am certain Zoe ran a pretty big sale around Black Friday/Christmas last year (and it felt like the sale went on for a month, if not two). I can't remember how much of a discount it was, but I vaguely recall it being much more than this current sale.

I say this because my wife and I were so surprised by how large the discount was, both for new and discounted returns, that we considered the XL1 to replace our umbrella stroller, and the XL2 to replace our double-umbrella stroller (we wanted to replace our umbrella strollers because we wanted a stroller we could maneuver with one hand).

While we decided not to get a stroller during that sale, we recently purchased a used XL1 Deluxe (which I believe was replaced by the XL1 Best V2), and we wonder why we waited so long to get this stroller. It is super light, and it easy to fold and unfold, which makes it a good stroller for amusement parks and for travel (although I have concerns about airlines throwing our stroller around). Also, since it folds smaller than our umbrella stroller, it's ideal for a car w/ a smaller trunk. While it is not as maneuverable as our full size stroller, it's not any worse than our umbrella stroller (meaning it's fine for walking on asphalt and cement), plus, the Zoe can be pushed one-handed, which is a nice advantage over a standard umbrella stroller.

I tried searching through my emails, as well as the internet, but I can't find any mention of this sale from late last year. However, my wife has been so impressed with the XL1 Deluxe that she now wants to get the XL2.

While Zoe is a small business, I found a few things odd. First, it looks like the only way to communicate with them is via e-mail, meaning you have to wait 24-48 hours for a response (there's a toll-free number but it looks like you have to leave a message).

Second, the XL1 Deluxe came with a lifetime warranty, at least on its wheels (it seems like the current Zoe lineup is only backed by a one-year warranty). The front wheels of our XL1 Deluxe sometimes stick, so I contacted Zoe to see how I could get replacement wheels. However, I was told none of Zoe's current replacement wheels fit on our stroller model, which makes the purported lifetime warranty less valuable (unless I am mistaken about the lifetime warranty on the older models). Also, other than some of the universal accessories that Zoe sells on its website, it's unclear if I am able to buy parts for the XL1 Deluxe (or have it repaired should the need ever arise). Maybe this is just the consequences of being a small company, i.e., Zoe can only manufacture/stock parts for its current strollers.

Last, I have read a number of reviews that have complained about the quality of the basket, i.e., the basket rips. While you can get a replacement basket for the XL2 double stroller, the Zoe website does not have the option of getting a replacement basket for the single strollers. Not sure why that is, but I would like that option should the basket ever need replacing.

However, I do appreciate some of the more common accessories are universal. For example, we lost the parent cupholder and the child snack cup on our XL1 Deluxe, and I was told the ones Zoe currently sells on its website are backward-compatible w/ our XL1 Deluxe, which is nice, as a parent cupholder is a must-have accessory.
