These are useful little bottles. We just bought some in other colors for our July vacation in Florida. Mainly got them for the misting feature. It did work great. Biggest downside is they suck at keeping w/e fluid you have in them cool. Even with ice, the ice will melt and you will have warm liquid in about 2-3 hours. I'd buy them again though at $6 each.

FYI my wife washed the top in dishwasher and it doesn't mist anymore.

Big question is, is it mist or spray that comes out? A number of years ago I bought a style that the water came out in a fine mist and it worked wonders.

Skip forward a couple years and bought a couple other different "misters". They just sprayed me and got me wet. The mist is so much better because it creates a slight layer of moisture on the skin which evaporates quickly. The evaporation is what cools you off. Any poor schlub can pour water on themselves, misting is the key.

I think about getting these every time they are posted, but the reviews for this brand (same bottle without sports teams) are not so great.

Yep, evaporative cooling. But even the good ones only work up to a point. I laugh when I see them in places like Orlando in July. You're just making it worse.

(High-end, extremely pressurized misters can work ok in humidity, but drier is always better)

I would consider it a mist and not a spray. You dont feel "wet" when you mist it. We paired ours with the O2Cool keychain fans: https://www.amazon.com/O2COOL-Sma...r=8-2&th=1 . Now mind you those fans come with a "mister" as well but I would consider the mister on those to be more of a spray. It was more like getting hit in the face with a small toy watergun with that feature on the fan.

As a misting and cooling option the bottles +fan worked great for us. The only thing we were unhappy with was the keep my beverage cool aspect of them lol.

The biggest problem is it is impossible to clean. After a few weeks of use it is disgusting, not possible to take apart to clean. Take a look of the reviews on Amazon. Never to buy it again.

I bought my nephews two for their summer, Shoddy and poor quality. A big number of fake reviews about this mist bottle on amazon. Don't waste money
